Revelstoke House is surrounded by open fields extending to the Columbia River before rising to the mountain ranges topped with snow peaks.  The gardens of the house are extensive with the grass close to the property mowed to create a perfect area for lounging on a hammock or playing ball games and having snowball contests.  There is room to have hospitality tents erected to host a wedding or other celebration party.  A picnic table behind the house is a lovely place to sip a beer as the sun goes down over the mountains.
